Job Description

Wipro is hiring for the role of Software Developer!

Responsibilities:

  • Understand product/software requirements and design.
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing information needs, system flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Investigate problem areas and follow the software development life cycle.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis of system issues and problem statements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance and availability.
  • Analyze client requirements and convert them into feasible designs.
  • Collaborate with functional teams and systems analysts to investigate software requirements.
  • Confer with project managers to obtain information on software capabilities.
  • Perform coding and ensure optimal software/module development.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, software development, and proposed software. 
  • Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
  • Analyze information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
  • Ensure code quality and minimize bugs.
  • Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, and status.
  • Coordinate with the team on daily project status and progress.
  • Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, and trace results to quality risks.
  • Capture requirements and clarifications from the client.
  • Seek regular feedback to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  • Participate in continuous education and training.
  • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications and performance requirements.
  • Maintain formal documentation and reports.
  • Ensure good quality interactions with customers through emails, fault report tracking, voice calls, and business etiquette.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and avoid internal or external complaints.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming skills in relevant languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
  • Expertise in various programming tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of quality management standards and processes.
  • Ability to follow standards and norms to ensure consistent results and risk reduction.
  • Proven track record of process excellence.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies (automation, tools, and systems).
  • Ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to think critically and innovate solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in work.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional teams.
