Software Development Engineer

Experience: 0-5 years

Job Location: Bangalore, Chennai, & Kolkata

What you’ll be doing?

You'll be working on the core problems pertaining to our centers of excellence. Each of our Centres of Excellence balance the dual of Framework Development (The Ideal) and Business Enablement (The Practical)

1) Frontend Development:

• Crafting user-friendly UI/UX for seamless ride booking, using functional programming (FP) and
• Working on SDK integrations with other third party customer facing apps
• Building Multimodal, MultiTenant application which can be used across cities
• Ongoing enhancement of app

2) Backend Engineering:

• Developing business logic for diverse ride-hailing services like Rentals, OneWay bookings, , primarily in FP.
• Working on reducing costs for Maps and third-party
• Researching and addressing mobility issues in smaller cities and developing frameworks for
• Enhancing developer productivity by contributing to NammaDSL (Domain Specific Language of NammaYatri)

3) Infrastructure Management:

• Ensuring a highly reliable infrastructure with 99% availability for global mobility services.
• Things like a Redis layer to minimize database load, thereby cutting costs and boosting - Developing an Infrastructure - DSL for effient, large-scale management.
• Continuously optimizing infrastructure to manage growing traffic and reduce

• Someone who can stick to a project for long stretches of time either to solve a hard problem or to achieve a high bar of perfection (marathoner)

We Are Hiring for Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata

Preferred Language Skills (Not Mandatory but Preferred)

• Bangalore – Knowledge of Kannada would help in better understanding operational challenges and engaging with on-ground teams.
• Chennai – Ability to communicate in Tamil would enable engineers to interact more effectively with drivers and contribute to the city's growth.
• Kolkata – Familiarity with Bengali would be beneficial for effective communication with local stakeholders and driver communities.

While these are not strict requirements, proficiency in the local language will allow engineers to make a greater impact and drive efficiency in their respective cities.
