Job Description

What you’ll be doing...

 

The work you'll be doing will support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon the Verizon Business Group - IoT Applications. You will be enhancing the customer experience and building world class solutions. Under the mentorship of senior applications staff, you will work as a team member on various projects to develop, implement and maintain this important application.

  • Developing highly efficient and reliable applications with front end and backend technologies keeping security in mind.

  • Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC) – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.

  • Ensuring application development sprint cycle is on track and adjusting the plan to meet release timelines.

  • Acting independently, at the same time displaying excellent collaboration within and between various teams.

  • Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.

  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use in front end and back-end technologies.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.

  • Experience in full stack technologies.

  • Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Development.

  • Good Hands-on Expertise with ReactJS, Java/J2ee, Microservices, Spring Boot, Spring, Spring Hibernate, Oracle/SQL, WebLogic, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JBPM.

  • Embrace DevOps 100% and ensure good operational metrics with SonarQube issues, Unit Test case coverage, Code Review, Security Vulnerabilities, and Regression Automation.

  • Understand and implement nonfunctional requirements such as performance tuning, infrastructure uplifts, etc.

  • Learn and Collaborate with Architect SME on threat modeling for new development.

  • Contribute to project delivery and key strategic imperatives by Ensuring timely & defect free Code delivery and closure of sprint iteration

 

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience with a high-performance, high-availability environment.

  • Strong analytical, debugging skills.

  • Exposure or understanding about to Cloud Technologies and exposure to DevOps technologies like GIT, Jenkins, Logstash, Kibana, Rabbit MQ, etc. will be an addition.

  • Experience with Unit testing framework like JUnit, Mockito.

  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to understand app server implications during the delivery stage.
