Job Description

As a Software Engineer on Windows Shell AI Team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions with latest technologies including but not limited to Multi Modal language models. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to AI intense projects, and provide leadership in the development of AI-powered features for Windows. If you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and have a strong C++ and machine learning background, we’d love to hear from you!

The Windows Shell AI Team is based out of Hyderabad and working on cutting edge technology

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for developing high quality Windows Experiences that are powered by cutting edge AI technologies 
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent, relevant experience)? 
  • 1+ years of experience (or equivalent relevant experience) in software development using development technologies such as C++, WinUI or XAML? 
  • Hands on experiences with software engineering principles and best practices such as design patterns, code quality, testing, debugging, etc.? 
  • Experience in the full development lifecycle of deploying software at scale? 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills? 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive and supportive team? 
  • Experience in developing features and user experiences that use AI technologies such as speech, vision, natural language processing, or machine learning are a bonus? 

Other Requirements

 

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    • OR related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript,OR Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Software Development Projects:
    • Work on software development initiatives related to AI and machine learning within the Windows ecosystem.
    • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Producing, Testing, and Debugging Code:
    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C++.
    • Passionate about developing and delivering high-quality software.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
    • Mentorship and knowledge sharing to foster growth within the team.
  • Staying Current with Technology Trends:
    • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and Windows development.
    • Apply this knowledge to enhance our software solutions.
