Job Description

NI is proud to be a part of Emerson's new test and measurement business group. The NI software portfolio is built to improve engineering productivity and help tackle world’s greatest engineering challenges. The Hardware Configuration is an application software that helps visualize and configure hardware in the test systems., The Hardware Configuration development team focuses on adding new features and capabilities to the Hardware Configuration product/platform to help serve the evolving customer needs. 

The Role: 

As a Staff Software Engineer in R&D team, your responsibilities include the following: 

  1. Brainstorm, design and develop new features in products. Develop tools and infrastructure to improve engineering productivity. 
  2. Independently work on the feature(s) through release. Design and implement moderate to high complexity features to a high level of quality. 
  3. Facilitate decisions necessary to deliver a quality product in a timely fashion. 
  4. Define and prioritize tasks and leverage resources to complete tasks on time. 
  5. Review code and design of junior engineers and provide high quality feedback. 
  6. Involve in testing activities and write unit tests for the features. 

Technical skills and experience: 

  1. B.E/ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ MCA in Computer Science/ Electronics and Communications / Telecommunication / Electrical / Instrumentation 
  2. 1 - 2 years of industry experience. 
  3. Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, effectively diagnosing technical issues and proposing reasonable solutions. 
  4. Proficiency in any of the text-based coding languages, Preferably C++
  5. Strong understanding and experience of software design principles. 
  6. Familiarity with Agile software development practices and continuous integration pipelines is preferred.
